Fox teams up with his father and leaves Kate out in the cold. But just like always, Kate isn't giving up. She tracks the father and son team down. Plus she calls her own father in for back-up.Now they're on the run from both the Brotherhood and Interpol. But they are determined to stop the Brotherhood from finding the treasure first. And they can't trust anyone because there is a mole.This is the biggest case of O'Hare's career and she's not going to let anything or anyone stop her.
When Emerson's Buddhist friend turns to him for help, Emerson can't do anything but help his friend discover what happened to his island. One minute Wayan was on a deserted island and the next minute, the island vanished. As Emerson and Riley start poking around, they begin to notice things aren't adding up and someone doesn't want them to keep asking questions.My Thoughts: Another classic Evanovich - lots of action, danger, banter, and sexual tension. I liked the interaction between Wayan and Vernon - they added humor to the story. I liked learning more about the parks.
Their questions lead them to the National Park Service where several hikers have been reported missing. Emerson's wild theories lead them down a trial from which they might not return.
Emerson Knight wants to see his gold - in person. He has a feeling something fishy is going on. In order to appease him, the bank sends newly hired Riley Moon to his doorstep.
Now the first week of the job, she's told to babysit him. It starts off innocently, until the two become entangled in a conspiracy. Now they have to prove their theories - or die trying.
This week's topic is REWIND, so I chose to pick my top reads for fall - fall for me equals September thru November. I'm choosing adult books I can't wait to read.
Nick's been kidnapped and now he's forced to pull a heist. Of course the kidnapped don't have his back and leave him to take the fall. Now it's up to Kate and her father to get him out. It causes some minor issues.My Thoughts: I adore this series for the cons, the plot twists, the action, the danger, the banter, Kate's family, and the romance. Another fantastic installment that leaves me wanting more books!
But the real problem is what the thieves stole - a strand of small pox that could kill millions. Nick and Kate need to infiltrate the gang again.
There's one more piece that Kovic needs before he can pull off his plan. Nick and Kate are going to help him accomplish his goal - sort of. They have a con of their own going to recover the strand and save the day.
Of course nothing goes as planned...
Summer is here and I'm looking forward to reading books about summer, sisters, the beach, road trips, ice cream, and of course happily ever afters.
This week's topic is a Freebie week - I had a hard time struggling to come up with a topic. But then I looked at the past posts and it hit me. Top Ten Books To Read In A Day. Now I read fast, but they were the last books I couldn't put down. I devoured them in one sitting.

My Thoughts: I adore this series. It's like watching an episode of White Collar or Leverage - lots action and danger. Plus the sexual tension is classic Evanovich. I liked how Kate's father took care of things for his friend in times of trouble.
The Con: Take down Evan Chase for money laundering through his casinos.
The Plan: Reel him in as a partner and then flip the switch, double crossing the bad guys to get Evan Turner to turn towards Kate and Nick for help.
The Wrinkles: Evan Turner gets interested in Kate - too interested. And the entire plan goes South FAST
Final Thoughts: It's the perfect escapism read. I'm hooked on these books.
I haven't done this post in a while. Since coming back from BEA, I've decided that I need to change my reading habits. I need to start reading the ARCs and worry less about the library books for right now, except of course for the hot books coming out that I need immediately.My Librarian friend Jess from I Read to Relax came up with a great idea. It's to highlight the books on hold at the library. I usually have 20-40 items checked out at the library and another 20 items on hold.
