On My Hold List

 

I just went a little crazy and added a bunch of books to my library hold list. Some of them are for work, but most of them are for fun

At the moment, I have 30 books on my hold list.

I love her Torte Bakery series and this looks charming!

This one is for work, but it looks adorable!

What's On My Hold List

 

It's been so long since I've done one of these posts that I actually forgot all about it.

I'm a VERY HEAVY library user. And I place a lot of books on hold. There is a limit at our system - it's 50 items on hold. I have hit that a few times.

Currently, I have 18 books on hold, which is probably a little below average.

I want to try this out 

Huge Swiftie, so of course I love reading books about her

This YA romance looks super cute!

Love Aleandra Bracken's YA books, excited about her adult romantasy

I love reading picture book biographies - I always learn something

Middle Grade Reads:

To Catch a Cheat: Loved the Great Greene Heist - so looking forward to another adventure

Neverseen: Love this series and can't wait to see what happens next!

Eden's Wish: First in a series about a genie who wishes for freedom.

My Librarian friend Jess from I Read to Relax came up with a great idea.  It's to highlight the books on hold at the library. I usually have 20-40 items checked out at the library and another 20 items on hold. 

Right now, the library system is going through a change and you can not place items on hold for the next week. 

I'm not going to lie - it's rough for me. I place a hold at least three times a week. I like to place the hold when I hear about the book or when I know it's in the catalog. That way I don't forget to place a hold. I will be very happy next Monday when I can start adding books to my list.

Sequels: I read a LOT of series books.

All Dressed in White: I really enjoyed the first book and I'm eager to read this one. I've been a fan of MHC since the 7th grade. This one involves a missing bride.

See How They Run: I loved the first book and can't wait for more about Grace and her friends.

NYPD Red 4: The last one wasn't my favorite, but this series has me hooked

Since coming back from BEA, I've decided that I need to change my reading habits. I need to start reading the ARCs and worry less about the library books for right now, except of course for the hot books coming out that I need immediately. It's not really working...but I am trying.

Here are a few Christmas books I'm looking forward to reading when they come in at the library.

Marry Me at Christmas by Susan Mallery
I love Fool's Gold. I'm always happy to read more of these books, especially set at Christmas.

Christmas on Candy Cane Lane by Sheila Roberts 
Three women have very different ideas of Christmas but this year, will be different in Icicle falls. I adore this series!

Winter Wedding by Brenda Novak
This book just came out yesterday - I love this series and I'm happy to see Kyle finding love.

Since coming back from BEA, I've decided that I need to change my reading habits. I need to start reading the ARCs and worry less about the library books for right now, except of course for the hot books coming out that I need immediately.

And you're never to old to read picture books. Here are a few I put on hold recently.

Silver Linings: I love this series from Debbie Macomber and can't wait to read the fourth book. 

Kiss Me: I'm in love with the Fool's Gold series - always ready for a new one

All Dressed in White: The second book in the Under Suspicion series - I loved the first one, looking forward to more.

Wicked Charms: I Love Janet Evanovich. It's been a few years since the last WICKED book. I don't remember much from the book, but I know I enjoyed it.

Best Friend Next Door: When her BFF moves away and a new girl moves in, will she and Emme become friends? Looks super cute!

Nashville Season 1: Not a book, but maybe for a secret project and because I've heard it's a great show.

An Ember in the Ashes: Been wanting to read this book forever - after hearing all the hype.

Endangered: A YA thriller about a photoblogger. I love the cover

Rook: Sounds like a Robin Hood vs Maid Marion set in the future. I'm also loving this cover.
