Graphic Novel Review: Fake Blood

Fake Blood
AJ thinks that 6th grade should be different - but everything feels the same. He didn't do anything amazing over the summer, And he's determined to make sure his crush knows who he is this year. She's the smartest girl in school and very into vampires.
AJ decides to give himself a vampire makeover to get her attention. It works - but not in the way he expects.

My Thoughts: I Really Really liked this one. Lots of talks about books and nerdiness. I loved AJ's relationship with his sister. His friends bickering made me laugh. I liked watching him try to become a vampire and gain Nia's attention. I like that she's the smartest girl in school. I didn't want to put this one down.

This is Whitney Gardner's debut in graphic novel format - I'm looking forward to her next one.

Also this is a diverse comic.

Cover Thoughts: Cute
