Spring is finally here and summer is just around the corner. I'm excited for the big publishing months. I can't wait to read summer romances and books about the beach, road trips, and ice cream.
In a different world, the library of Alexandria survived. The library governs the people, selecting knowledge to filter to the people.My Thoughts: I really liked the idea of this book and I enjoyed the book. It took me about 50 pages to get into in and then I was hooked.
People are no longer allowed to own books and the libraries have scribes creating the books. While the printing press was designed, the library disposed of Gutenberg and any one else with a similar idea.
Jess's father works as a book smuggler. He decides that Jess's value lies in his future - at the library as a spy. He forces Jess to take the entrance exam. Jess passes he exam and heads off for basic training.
And that's where everything changes...Jess isn't sure who to trust. The Library's orders seem out of place. Jess knows he'll have to use all his wits to get himself out of the mess.
Claire and her friends have returned to Morganville but they find it changed since they left - and not for the better. Once again, they find themselves on the wrong side of things and must fight for survival and their futures.
Claire has the chance to study at MIT and leave Morganville behind. After what happened with Shane, she's ready for some time to herself to figure things out.
She's always wanted to go to MIT. She has the chance to work with a scientist for an independent project. The first time she meets her mentor, Claire tells her about an invention that she's been working on.
It has the ability to shock vampires and take away their abilities. Her new mentor is very interested in this project, but mentions that it needs to be kept a secret from the rest of the vampire world. Her mentor has a vampire watching over her; Claire's shocked to see a vampire outside of Morganville. While part of her still craves the normal college experience, she can't risk it. Especially when others learn of her invention. Claire's not the only one interested in it's powers and those people will do anything to get their hands on it.
Peace has come to Morganville; both the humans and the vampires are rising out of the ashes from the last fight. Joined together, they defeated their common enemy.
However, as the city begins to rebuild, it's clear that tensions are still high. Humans are under the impression that they will be on equal footing with the vampires. But it's not long before the vampires make it clear that's not going to be the case.
Amelie's acting strange and things are starting to get out of control. Even Myrnin believes it's time to run.
Claire and her friends attempt to change things by creating a very unique and very strange scenario for the town. At the moment, almost every in town, human and vampires alike, hate them. They're angry about the wedding and at Shane and Claire for standing by their friends. Everyone is in danger and it's only a matter of time before their luck runs out.
Clare and her friends know that time is running out for Morganville. Instead of fighting the vampires that rule the town, this time they're fighting WITH the vampires. It's not a fight anyone thinks they can win.
But Claire and her friends have beaten the odds before and they're not going down without a fight.
The draugs need water to life. If they poison the water, it's possible they might have a chance. However, shutting off the water's going to be a battle in itself. With a few weapons, including a flamethrower that Shane loves, they decide to risk it.
Not everyone comes back. Will the fight for Morganville change the town and it's inhabitants forever? Will there be a town after the war? Most importantly, will Claire's luck hold or will it finally run out?
Claire and her friends are battling a new fight. Eve and Michael are engaged, but no one in the town is eager for the marriage to take place. Instead, both sides are fighting this union.
During a lab, Claire realizes that the professor is having the students run properties on vampire blood. Her partner seems to know a little too much information about vampires. When he takes some blood at the end of the session, Claire tries to stop him.
*9th book in series**Claire gets herself into Trouble.
Eve attends a party in an abandoned warehouse and she’s in danger. Claire, Shane, and Michael run to her rescue. A fight ensues between the vampires and the locals. Claire ends up killing a vampire. According to town law, the punishment for killing a vampire is death.
Amelie gives her a choice: fix the town’s problem or hang in a cage in the town square. Claire chooses to fix the problem. She can’t rest until the problem is solved.
She completes the device.
However, in the days to follow, she realizes that something drastically wrong when people begin losing chunks of their memory. The town becomes deadly once again – even in the daytime. Claire doesn’t know what she can do, but she realizes it’s up to her to fix the machine before it’s too late.
My Thoughts: I LOVE this series. It's super addicting. I LOVE the characters, especially the romances. Ghost Town delivers another amazing installment of this dangerous, action packed series about loyalty, friendship, and love. So looking forward to Bite Club (which just came into the library for me!)

Claire just made a deal to save her life, but before she can meet her end of the bargain, she and her friends gain passes out of town. Record producers want to hear Michael perform. They're arrested in connection with the men's suspicious disappearances. They know it will be nightfall before the rescue party comes knocking, but the vampire rescuing them is the vampire who wants to kill them.
Now, they're fighting for their lives once again. Will the human trio become a vampire snack, or will Oliver be their only chance at survival?
My Thoughts: Claire and her friends find deadly trouble wherever they go, even outside Morganville. KISS OF DEATH continues in this series of wild adventures, fatal danger, and trouble at every turn. Through it all, these four friends remain together and united. Rachel Caine delivers another winning chapter of this addicting series.

The battle for Morganville is over and life is relatively normal. Claire is back in classes and working in Myrnin’s lab. She notices something evil and unnatural about Ada, as if the computer brain that protects Morganville is jealous of Claire. 
Claire and her friends are divided over the recent events in Morganville. Shane’s locked up with his father. Michael’s working for the evil Bishop along with Claire - while Eve is furious with both of them. Claire needs to believe the Myrnin has a plan, but she’s not sure she can actually trust him. Bishop is running the town and pushing it close to ruin. He doesn’t care about any of the citizens. Claire realizes that Amelie hasn’t gone into the shadows and disappeared. Instead, she’s been working to move the townspeople out of danger and away from Morganville. With the whole town gearing up for a fight, who will be left standing and what alliances will be broken/formed?
The town of Morganville has seen better days since the return of Bishop, a master vampire who wants control of the town. His daughter, Amelie, isn’t going to relinquish her power easily. Now everyone’s choosing sides and waiting for the battle to begin. Those who have chosen now have their battle assignments. Claire must find Myrnin, Shane must guard the blood bank, Michael protects the college students, and Eve needs to head back to the coffee shop and to Oliver. In a fight this big, there’s bound to be infighting and backstabbing. Soon the humans in town aren’t sitting on the sidelines anymore. Those who were once protected can no longer count on the vampire alliance to protect them. Claire and her friends are doing everything they can to save the town, but they seem to be the key to the fight. Are they about to be double-crossed themselves?
