There are some everyday letters, some relationship letters, some professional rejections and some historical rejections.My two favorite historical letters involved Walt Disney company declining to a woman for her art work and Eleanor Roosevelt writing to decline her membership in the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) due to their refusing to allow singer Marian Anderson on stage. These letters spoke of the times - and exceedingly interesting views towards women.
There were historical letters about people I couldn't place, but at the end of the book, there's a section on explaining those letters and their significance.
My Thoughts: I liked how historical blended with today's letters. Plus there was just the right amount of humor and serious tone to the letters.
