This book counts up to ten and back down again in English and Spanish. The photographs of the animals are amazing and the range of animals is impressive. The animals are also listed in both languages.

This monster truck book counts down from ten. There's a lot of action with all the trucks but at the end, they're all sleeping. This book is great for anyone who loves tucks.

This explains soccer is a very easy to understand way. And it includes some fun facts. Perfect for anyone wishing to learn about the game, especially with World Cup this year. Another winner for the Hello World series.

Just a few new to me/the library board books:

I love this series. There's lots of vocabulary and things to talk about.

I love the soft illustrations. But careful, this book will make you want to make (and eat!)

Perfect for Women's History Month - this book celebrates women and lets young readers know they too can make a difference. Each spread becomes a mask, allowing readers to become that person - making it interactive. Each spread also has a mini biography. 

This is a book about colors and how it relates to Persuasion - really it's for grown-ups but it's fun to read! 

If your child likes cars, this is for you - a great transportation book. The illustrations are great and I love the foil on the illustrations.

A version of wheels on the bus in a barn setting with cute illustrations. I can't wait to read this one at storytimes.

Just a few new to the library board books:

Yaya and Boo books are so much fun! They are so good at hiding, just like MoMo.

The photography are fun to pour over as you search for hidden object, especially Scout the Bear.

This book is super cute with pictures of all the animals at the farm and what they like to do. The photographs are fantastic, and the rhymes are cute. Readers of all ages will enjoy this one. 

An adorable book about puppies and getting ready for bed. The photographs are too cute for words. This rhyming story is simply perfect. 

This is an amazing vocabulary book. The photographs of children are mixed with illustrations. Kids can learn to identify animals, the sounds they make, and what they eat

Review: Goodnight, Stars Hollow

This is such a great board book. This rhyming book has so many Gilmore Girl moments before bedtime. The illustrations are charming. This is an adorable book, perfect for fans of the show. 

Board Book: Hoot Hoot

 

A little boy is ready for bed but can't sleep. He keeps hearing all these sounds. What could it be?

I love the big eyes continue throughout the book with different animals. And the ending is funny. This will be a fun book to read out loud. And I'm sure it will be read over and over again.

Just a few new to me/my library board books:

There's no story here, which would have made this book better. However, it's an wonderful read. Slides for different animals and a look and find on each spread. This book is so fun to pour over. 

We all need alone time, but sometimes you just need a great big hug!

Great pictures and great vocabulary for little ones.

Little Bunny and his friends are looking for Spring. It's cute what they find. 

One little one wants to do everything their family do - to be just like them. And they are happy to discover, at the end, that they are. The illustrations are lovely.

Slides, Flaps, and look and finds! I'm not sure how long the flaps will last, but this is a really cute book that's a whole lot of fun. 

This is my new favorite board book - super cute and sweet. Lots of puns in this one and ALL the food. 

Holiday Book Gift Ideas: Picture Books and Board Books
