This transportation book is great - lots of colors and vocabulary words. There's so much to talk about with this book. I love the final product. This is a great STEAM book

One dinosaur love painting until something goes wrong.

This is a great story about making a mistake and moving on from it. It's about being creative and burning out and filling the well again. It sends a great message about how no one is perfect, but we all deserve a second chance. 

Picture Book Wednesday: Pairs of People

This book showcases pairs of people working together and showing kindness. 

This was a really great picture book. The illustrations are bright and colorful. The characters are diverse. The message of kindness and sharing is great. There's also a STEAM piece of math where the pairs are multiplied. I love how this book shows that two people or one hundred people can make a difference.

Picture Book Review: Green Place to Be

With New York City growing at a huge rate, the city wanted a park where people could enjoy nature. Calvert Vaux and Frederick Law Olmsted created plans to build a wonderful place - Central Park. 

A really fascinating book about the planning and the construction of Central Park. There were things to find of each page and mini biographies in the back of the book. The illustrations were amazing to pour over. A wonderful book to share, especially for elementary school readers.
