Board Books: Transportation

Just a few new to the library board books featuring transportation

There are five different modes of transportation navigating the city. Readers can trace paths through the city. There are questions for the readers - making this a VERY interactive book.

Lots of vocabulary in this book and felt flaps to flip over. Bright colors make these illustrations pop.

There's a lot going on in this book - the trash truck is moving through the city picking up trash and the reader is invited along for a ride. This interactive book is great for learning and also fun.

This board book has cutouts that help share knowledge about the truck and what it does. It also shares the message about recycling.

Each of these board books count down with the vehicles during the day until they are all sleeping at night.

Push and pull tabs showcase this submarine underwater - complete with bright illustrations and great vocab.

Board Books: Literacy Development

I recently bought these books for my library. And they are FANTASTIC! I couldn't recommend them more. Every library should have them.

This one is about different sounds and their meanings.

All about moments of mealtimes - trying new foods, needing help, and eating.

Meal time tips are included at the back of this book

So much vocabulary here with the names of the transportation vehicles and what they do.

This book is all about things your can do with your Dad. I love that they encourage readers to post of photo of themselves with their dad in this book.

Over All Thoughts:
* Each book in the series contains back matter for parents about how talking with your kid is SUPER important for their development.

** This series is written by an early speech expert

*** In my professional opinion, these are the best books I've read about literacy development for kids.

**** The pictures of babies are delightful. There are some illustrations combined with the pictures, but the babies and caregivers are photos that showcase our diverse world

Board Books (5): Transportation

We just bought a bunch of new board books for our library.

I'll be talking about a few favorites over the next couple months

This week is all about Transportation

Moms of all transportation vehicles help show their kids how the world works and give them the best tips for living their best life. Fantastic illustrations!

Mail Duck is delivering all the packages in the mail. Each animal getting a package likes a different shape. This is a sweet story with a great ending. The illustrations are fun.

* This is a really great book but might be hard for libraries with the lift the flaps.

These vehicles are making a house! I love the way they all connect. This book also has lift the flaps, but they are bigger and more sturdy.

One day on a construction site. I love how they take time for lunch! Another great book from this series.

Great pictures in this book that showcases so many vehicles. Lots of puns and funny moments too. Great photographs too,
