Top Ten Tuesday: Bookish Brags

This week's topic is Bookish Brags. I'm not good about bragging...

As Paul Rudd says here, stop it, you're making me blush!

But:

I am ahead on my Goodreads goal this year - the last two years, I didn't make my reading goal.

And I forgot my blog anniversary, but I've been blogging for a while...

It's been a wild ride!

Top Ten Tuesday: Reading Goals

This week's topic is reading goals STILL to complete before the end of the year.

Here are my goals for the year:

1. According to my Goodreads Challenge (which I failed last year) - I'm hoping to read 250 books - between Children's, Middle Grade, YA, Adult, and graphic novels.

Currently I'm at 179, so I have a few more books to read. Fingers Crossed!

2. I'd like to also read 500 picture books, board books, and I Can Read Books

Currently, I'm at 456, but I have a bunch at home, I need to read. This should be easily accomplished.

3. I'd like to blog 325 posts and not all reviews...

Currently at 263 for the year, so that's do-able too. I try to blog about once a day or at least 6 times a week. AND I have a big anniversary too.

I could make more book lists and other posts. I will have to think about that.

4. More Bookstagram posts (at least once per month)

So far, so good!

5. More TikTok BookTok posts (at least once per month)

So far, so good!

I'm not doing too bad! But I need to get reading...

2020 Goals

I have goals for this year both personal and professional.

Here are a few of them:

Reading Goals:
Read 250 books (kids/middle grade/YA/Adult)
Read 600 picture books/I Can Read Books/picture book nonfiction

Continue reviewing for School Library Journal and Fresh Fiction and VOYA

Blogging:
Blog more about library life and programs (I used to do this more)
Write 300 blog posts per year
Share more about my crafty items and process

Writing Goals:
Finish tearing apart Pride and Basketball, my current WIP
Build it back up.
Find myself an agent
Work on getting it published

* I've been working on this goal for years, but it's time to get serious. I've gotten some great feedback and I need to stop being scared and just do it.

Do you have reading/blogging goals?

Top Ten Tuesday: Bookish Goals

This week's topic is bookish goals. I feel like I write the same goals every year and just forget about them. I'm going to try harder not to let that happen this year. But I might be fighting a losing battle.

Goals I'd like to accomplish this year:

Reading Goals:
Read 365 picture books
Read 250 kids/middle grade/YA/Adult books
Read at least 1 book/month that I own and haven't read yet.
Finish judging the Cybils books
Read the books I've written in my monthly goals

Blogging Goals:
Blog 340 times this year
Read more blogs and comment on them
Post more personal posts - not just book reviews
Start posting movie reviews again

Bookish Goals:
Attend BEA this year

I feel pretty good about these goals - what's on your list to accomplish this year?
