Color Your World Book: Paint with Ploof

Ploof wants to paint a rainbow, but they need help.

This is not a board book, but it looks like one and it's sized like one. This interactive book is perfect for this year's summer reading theme.  It will be a great read-aloud.

Picture Book Review: Honk Honk Beep Beep Putter Putt

A boy and his cat travel with Baba on the road. There's so much traffic, they have a hard time getting onto the road. Once they are on the road, other people want to travel on the road too. But what happens when there is a frog in the road?

This is such a fun book - filled with brightly colored illustrations and so many vehicles. Each vehicle has a different sound. I did love kitty in this story. The author's note shares how every one watches out for each other. The horns can mean different things.

Picture Book Wednesday: Snow Falls

It's been snowy here lately, so I wanted to share a fun new book.

A child and their dog explore the world of snow.

This was such a fun book. So many thoughts about snow and play. Not a lot of words, but beautifully illustrated. There's a cardinal on every page to find. This will make a fun storytime read.

Library Recommendation: Highly recommended for school and public libraries!

Picture Book Review: Count on Me

42041930. sx318

Everyone has a spark (a passion).
The key is to finding out what's yours!

Math is this little girl's passion. She sees the world differently because of it. A great lesson for everyone. The color palette makes the book stand out and the illustrations are fun.

Anne say goodnight to everything and everyone that she loves.

I really liked this sweet bedtime story. I liked seeing key characters. I loved the feel and the language of the story. Complete with great illustrations, this book is perfect for fans of Anne of Green Gables.

Library Recommendation: Grab this for your school and public libraries.

Picture Book Review: Fox and Raccoon

36601810

The first book in a new picture book series features best friends Fox and Raccoon. Usually they hang out every day but today Fox is so busy. Raccoon doesn't understand why his friend is so busy, but he offers to help to make the chores end faster so they can play.

A really cute story about friendship and helping. I loved the photographs - these types of books always draw me in! I'm so looking to reading more about these characters.

Picture Book Review: The Pink Umbrella

34952390

A sweet story about two adults falling in love. Adele doesn't like life when it rains, but someone shows her that the rain can also be magical.

Yup, it's a picture book for adults and it's Charming.
The illustrations are cute and the ending is sweet.
This one gave me all the feels.
