Picture Book Wednesday: Dog Books

Here are a few dog picture books

Lots of varieties of dogs (just like people) in this book. Each dog showcased has a different color to share. When a different dog shows up at first, the other dogs want the different dog to leave. But the other dogs stand up for the different dog. He's a friend. The more the merrier.

I love how each dog is different - it shares a great message for kids. The illustrations are super cute. Plus, I love that this book teaches about colors in a fun way. I liked the afterwards - the different cuts for a poodle and the different types of doodles. Of course, the picture of the pups that inspired this story is a great end to the book.

Why do dogs love books?

I really enjoyed this book. Both my dogs enjoy books. I love how this book goes through all the possibilities of why dogs enjoy books. It could be the same reasons as people. I love the ending of this book; it's perfect.

Momo loved playing hide and seek and he was good at it.

If you don't know about Momo the dog, take a look on Instagram or the Find Momo books. This book made me cry because it talks about the grief one feels when a dog dies. Momo is dead but he lives on in the hearts of others. This rhyming book has some classic hide and seek moments.

Picture Book Wednesday: Dog books

Charlie has a hard time choosing and making decision. Which often makes him unhappy. He thinks about getting a dog - but he's overwhelmed with all the choices. Luckily one chooses him!

A cute story about making choices and the friendship of a lifetime.

Sandro has an important mission today - he travels all through Venice to make it happen.

A great story about friendship. I loved seeing the sights of Venice. And that ending is very sweet.

A parade of Dachshunds - there's so much to see in these illustrations. I love the costumes of the dogs at the parade and seeing the owners dressed like the dogs. A fun concept book with counting dogs.

Doggo is set in his ways - until his family gets a new puppy. This pupper is busy busy busy. But then the family tries to train him. And takes all the fun out of everything. Doggo needs to help Pupper find joy again.

This was is not a picture book - it's an easy chapter book. There are lots of great illustrations in this sweet story about friendship and being yourself.
