Review: The Landscapes of Anne of Green Gables

 

This book was:

 part biography of LM Montgomery

part of Anne of Green Gables

and a whole lot of nature.

There were a few points that were redundant, but book was stunning - well worth the library check out for the pictures alone.

Here are a few pictures - I had to force myself to stop.

Maud's room - where she brought nature and plants inside

She had a love for flowers - just like Anne

This book made me want to go back to Prince Edward Island, which is not the easiest place to get to. Hopefully one day soon!

Green Gables: the home that inspired Anne's books form L.M. Montgomery

Mark Twain 

Stephen King - this was more of tour of Bangor than the inside of his house. But it was fascinating!

Review: What is the Story of Anne of Green Gables

 

Are you an Anne fan? I read the books but watched the movies more. I did travel to PEI when I was in high school and I long to go back.

This was a fascinating read because I didn't know too much about L.M. Mongomery. This was a blend between a biography and details about Anne of Green Gables. 

While the book mentions her early writings, it doesn't cover other books - not even the Emily trilogy. And that surprised me. 

This isn't a book I expected from this series, but I'm so glad to have it! 

I've been on an Anne of Green Gables kick lately with this book a modern graphic novel.
