Christmas Board Books

Just a few new to me board books for Christmas

It's the first Christmas for Baby and Dog. They do all the things together to get ready for the holidays.

This is a sweet and funny book. There are so many cute moments. Just amazing.

Parent's love for their child at Christmas.

I love these books - for the puns, for the touch and feel pieces, and because they are so cute. The illustrations are charming. This will make a great read aloud and will make the perfect gift.

A child is excited to become Santa's helper and help ring in the holidays.

Another touch and feel book for a child who wants to be independent. A super cute book.

Everyone is busy at the North Pole getting ready!

This cute book starts off with a big star, which gets smaller with each turn of the page. I love how the colors change. A nice story about holiday preparations and traditions.

Another counting down book - with elves this time.

This series is a little strange but awfully cute at the same time. I do love the chunky toys on each page. The countdowns are great for reading with others because they can participate!

The snowman and the monster have fun in the snow!

This is another interactive book that's so much fun to read. This is a hugely popular picture book series at my library and I love how they are creating board books now. This isn't a picture book turned into a board book. This charming book also makes a good read aloud for storytimes.

Christmas Board Books (2)

Round 2 of new Christmas Board Books that came into the library:

Reindeer and her friends are collecting treasures from the forest.

I love the blend of photographs and illustrations for this book. This is a sweet story about friendship and sharing during the holiday season.

Counting down from 10, these little reindeer keep disappearing.

This is going to be a fun read-aloud. I love the 3D reindeer.

Brown Sugar Baby celebrates Christmas with family in this sweet story with beautiful illustrations.

The holly is missing from the decorations so Little Mouse goes to get some - but it starts to snow!

A story filled with ALL the feels and a pinch of magic.

Question and answer book with felt pieces. (We'll see how they hold up in the library book.)
Cute introduction to Christmas.
Who is going to pull Santa's sleigh?

This is a cute board book with fun movable antlers! I'm looking forward to reading this for a storytime.

Christmas Board Books

Just a few Christmas board books from the library:

Lots of snowmen and winter friends and wishes here. This snowman has a squishy stomach making this super fun to read.

To be honest, there's not much to this book. But it's still super fun. Not a lot of words, but bright colors make this one fun to share.

Jingle Bells with adorable illustrations and lots of sliders. Another cute story for sharing

This beautiful book has the sweetest illustrations of animal families next to the lyrics of the song. Lots of parents and babies celebrate here.

This rhyming alphabet book is cozy and charming.

In 10 days to Christmas, this family packs a lot in! Lovely illustrations with bright colors, this cozy book is one to read again and again.

Christmas Board Books

It's Christmas in July week here on the blog - here are some cute board books that came into the library last year that I didn't get a chance to talk about yet...

This reindeer is grumpy - but learns a lesson in kindness that changes his outlook on everything - including friendship and Christmas.

A cute story with a great message. The cover is cute as the grumpy face changes to a happy face.

Santa and the elves are busy getting ready for Christmas.

A cute story about the North Pole and all the tasks to accomplish.

A sweet story about grandmothers and their grandkids baking different types of cookies together.

There's so much love in this book. It's sweet and adorable. The illustrations are great. Plus, there's a recipe for cookies at the end. Highly recommended!

One little girl desperately wants to say good night to Santa - she ends up saying good night to lots of animals.

This is a cute story - the illustrations are lovely. They aren't quite black and white, but they have limited colors. The moon on the front lights up with a light.

Santa visits children in this story.

Another cool feature with this book - the stars are glow in the dark. This one was charming - I loved the before and after scenes. The book set up isn't exactly flaps, but they aren't full pages either. Hoping this holds up with library users.

A favorite character hides amongst Christmas trees.

Clever and cute. I love how all the trees are different. Perfect for fans of the Very Hungry Caterpillar.

All the things to love about Christmas.

A great board book - filled with lots of colorful illustrations. There's so much to see here. Plus there's a lump of coal to find on every page. Not much text, which makes this one a good read-aloud for storytimes. Highly Recommended

Christmas Eve is busy with so much fun!

Another great read-aloud for storytime. Charming illustrations. This book packs a lot of fun and Christmas traditions into just one day! Highly Recommended

Nature, animals, friends and winter and snow. Each snowman is just a little bit different - like people. A fun winter read.

While this book isn't a Christmas story, it's perfect for those little ones wishing for a White Christmas or snow.

Counting Christmas items with the Very Hungry Caterpillar - you can find the caterpillar on each spread.

A fun Christmas counting book that will delight readers of all ages.

Picture Book Wednesday: Christmas Picture Books

Just a few holiday picture books that I enjoyed:

A girl and her grandmother see the Nutcracker together. The grandmother is a former prima ballerina. The author is also a former prima ballerina. It's a lovely tradition to share between a grandmother and her granddaughter.  The artwork is lovely done by the Fancy Nancy artist.

The story of the nutcracker and a Black ballerina playing the role of Clara. Great message about practicing and support from her family - as well as the Nutcracker story.

Santa's sleigh won't start - and no one knows how to fix it. A funny STEAM story that celebrates problem solving and girl power.

The Wheels on the Bus Christmas edition - this fun story is perfect for storytime!

How does Santa's sleigh actually work? This STEAM book turns magic into the knowledge.

This board book is adorable from the rhyming words to the loving family (including the cat) to the amazing illustrations. I love this series.
