Thoughts on Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Last night, I finished watching Buffy
There were parts that were amazing:
I love that it was a girl kicking butt show
I loved the relationships - between Buffy and her friends
and usually between Buffy and her relationships
I (obviously) adored Giles
I liked how Faith came back into play
There were times when I felt the show go off track
There were definitely things I didn't understand - like the monsters at the end being the same that took Buffy ages to kill just one...
But overall it was snarky, clever, funny, exciting, and enjoyable!

You just finished this series! I used to watch it weekly on TV (with my Mom, no less! we were both hooked). I loved a lot about that series, especially the snarky dialogue, which I then found again on Veronica Mars. I really loved, though, how they ended the series. It really was all about girl power!!

This was and still is one of my all time favorite television series. There was a Buffy the Vampire marathon on TV New Year's Day, and I barely left the couch because I was watching it ALL day!

Season 8 is available in graphic novel format and takes place a few years after the finale of the television show. Season 7 especially got off track because Sarah Michelle Gellar stated that she was going to leave the show so they changed the focus to make it more about Dawn. Then she said she would sign on for season 8 and they shifted it back towards her. At the last minute they had to change the storyline again to end the show because she decided not to do a season 8 for television.

My husband and I have started watching Buffy and we love it! I don't know why I missed it when it was TV-I was too busy watching X-Files and Star Trek Voyager. But I'm catching up now and it's great. Veronica Mars is another great show that ended too soon.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! I'm so glad you liked it. It was my very favorite show when I was a teenager and it still remains some of the most played DVDs in my house!
