Picture Book Wednesday: Wake Up Trucks

 

Trucks have important jobs to do from morning until night. 

This story is perfect for truck loving readers - lots of trucks and building moments. The illustrations are bright and colorful. There's so much to look at and talk about with this book. 

Picture Book Review: Bad Moods

I've recently read two books about bad moods.

Ed's in a bad mood. At first it starts out small, but it soon grows out of control. He needs to figure out how to change his mood - and fast. 

I like how this one talked about changing emotions, festering emotions, and controlling emotions. I love how it mentioned there's beauty in everything and sometimes the smallest thing can change a person's mood.

A little mouse finds a badger lost and in need of help. The little mouse, although unhappy about having his day interrupted, decides to help. Each animal they encounter seems to know about the grumpy mouse. He insists that he's not grumpy.

I love how the mouse helped out the poor little badger. I loved the twist at the end. A cute story with great illustrations about friendship and bad moods.

Picture Book Review: Glitter

Not everyone loves Glitter as much as Gloria - especially cleaning up glitter. But she's determined to show everyone how happy it can make them.

A cute picture book with fun glitter sprinkled throughout the pages. It also showcases a great message of knowing what you love and not letting people talk you out of it. Gloria's determination is admirable as is her desire to share her happiness. 

Picture Book Review: Great Cheese Robbery

A mouse pretends to be a cheese inspector. A little elephant is home alone with his father who is terrified of mice. Will their possessions be stolen?

I really liked this book - I liked that the father was afraid - everyone has fears and this book showed that nicely. 

I liked the twist in the picture book. I liked the sly, sneaky, tricky mice. Lots of fun and with great illustrations. 

I can't wait to share this one!
