Picture Book Review: Seasons on the Farm

A farm goes through the seasons of the year, starting and ending with winter.

This is a great way to teach kids about seasons and change in the weather. The illustrations are warm. This is a fun book to pour over.

Picture Book Review: Sole Man

A last part of the shoe needed to be hand done, Jan couldn't see why a machine wouldn't work. He liked to tinker on machines. But every time he asked a question; the same answers were given. He created an invention. The machine is large and complicated, so complicated that the patent office sent someone to look at the machine.
This biography is great - I love the set up and then the flashback. I didn't know anything about his man, but his story is fascinating.

Ice Cream is loved all around the world - with lots of different textures and flavors.

I'm a sucker for ice cream, it's one of my favorite deserts. It was fun reading about ice cream flavors from around the world. We might all be a little bit different, but ice cream can cheer us all up! There's a lot of knowledge in this book - and it might inspire you to go out for ice cream...

Holiday Thursday Review: Deck the Walls

The tagline is a wacky Christmas Carol - and this book lives up to it!

I loved the craziness of this book; it was really funny. I liked how the kids were annoyed by the adults talking about Christmases long long ago. I liked the food fights, the snow fights, and the togetherness. The illustrations were cute and clever.  The book is a sweet funny clever read that your family is sure to enjoy.
