Picture Book Review: Night Job

Night Job

After dark, Dad's job as the janitor starts at the school. The boy helps him and keeps him company as the night.

I really enjoyed this book - it shared the family's routine and how the father made his job fun. It demonstrates hard work and getting the job done. The illustrations were sweet. A wonderful story to share.

Picture Book Review: Dinosaur Expert

36625273

Kimmy loves dinosaurs. She knows Everything about them. So she's so happy for the class field trip to the Natural History Museum. But when one of the boys questions whether girls can be paleontologists, she becomes very quiet.

I Loved this STEM picture book - the message was great. I loved the information about dinosaurs, the teacher, and how Kimmy gained confidence.  I really liked the illustrations too.

I just saw that this book is part of a series about a classroom and I'm eager to read more of these books.

Picture Book Review: A Hat for Mrs. Goldman

Sophie thinks knitting is hard, so she helps her neighbor by making pom-pom for her hats. Mrs. Goldman gives her hats to everyone in need, but she doesn't have a hat of her own. Sophie works hard to change this.
This book gave me ALL THE FEELS - so heartwarming and sweet. I love Sophie's creative side and how she creates a hat for her neighbor. I love that this book focused on knitting - not something you see a lot in children's books. I also loved the dinosaur sweater for the dog. A wonderful story with great illustrations to share all perfect for all library collections.
