Five Things (3): Maizy Chen's Last Chance

 

I really enjoyed Lisa Yee's book about a young girl and her mother who travel to stay with her grandparents for the summer. Her grandfather is not doing well and they need to help out at the family restaurant. This was such a powerful story about family, racism, and history.
