Picture Book Wednesday: Dozens of Doughnuts

One bear is excited to eat the baked donuts before sleeping for the winter. 

But her the smell of her doughnuts cause all her friends to stop by - and they eat every last crumb. Poor Bear!

I really loved this book (and not just because it's about doughnuts). I loved the message of sharing with friends and kindness. I love how everyone came together for a party before hibernation and how everything turn out. One sweet story!

Library Recommendation: Highly recommended for your school and public libraries!

Picture Book Review: Charlotte the Scientist Finds a Cure

The animals of the forest are sick - and Charlotte's determined to help figure out the cause. But when the other scientists don't take her seriously, she begins to work on her own.

A second book in the Charlotte the Scientist series, which goes through the scientific method. Charlotte doesn't give him, she's determined to uncover the mystery. And she does. An empowering feminist stem story about a scientist who refused to back down.

A must have book for your school and public libraries. 

Picture Book Wednesday: Building Books

Katie loves to build - anytime anywhere. 

Owen likes to read - anytime anywhere.

They both insist their way is best until a librarian forces them to try reading and building.

And she's right. Katie also loves reading and Owen also loves building. They can do both - together.  Of course I loved this book, it's about discovery the love of reading and it takes place in a library. It's the Perfect combination. The message is sweet, the illustrations are great, and I love that the two main characters end up having fun together.
