Vacation Photos: Acadia

We just got back from a trip to Acadia and Bangor Maine. We go there every couple of years. Lots of great hiking and it's so pretty. We stay in town and walk around after hiking in the morning, napping in the afternoon, and then grabbing dinner and ice cream in town.

Here are some pictures from that trip (minus the food, I'll do a separate post on that)

Vacation Photos: Bar Harbor

We took a quick weekend trip to Bar Harbor and other parts of Maine. We went to our favorite - Acadia. Ate lots of great food.

The sunset the first day was amazing

We finally played mini golf at Pirate's Cove. So much fun!

Some nice foliage day 2

Flowers at Jordan Pond House - where I got the cutest pair of socks.

We took a walk on the sand bar at low tide to the island.

We took a sea cliff walk at night - this is a little bit brighter than what the sky looked like.

A cool building in Portland

Now for the food:

West Street Cafe - great food and a charming new to us place

Lemon cream cake and the Maine staple Blueberry Pie - West Street Cafe

Seafood Pasta - West Street Cafe

Blueberry Ice Cream from CJ's Big Dipper - this is our favorite ice cream place in town. We eat there every day.

A chocolate coconut donut - Graffiti Donuts. We had lots of donuts on this trip

Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese with Fried Jalapenos - maybe the best I've ever eaten in Gritty's Pub in Portland.

Vacation Photos

This year we had BIG plans for vacations. Of course because of the pandemic, those didn't happen. But we did just get back from a long weekend in Maine where we hiked in Acadia.

Here are a few pictures:

After a grueling and scaring hike, I was so happy to make it to the top

And of course we had our favorite ice cream spot where we ate lots of ice cream.
I'm a huge fan of the peanut butter. But also the Maine Blueberry Ice Cream.

The weather was great. The foliage was just about peak season. I was so thankful we were able to go and enjoy nature.
