Graphic Novel Review: Heartstopper

Heartstopper volumes 1 and 2

Charlie and Nick sit next to each other in class. They start talking and soon become friends. When Nick sees Charlie running - he invites his new friend to join the rugby team. Charlie isn't really sporty, but he decides to give it a try.  He's not great at rugby, but he's happy to hang out more with Nick. The two of them become close friends. Charlie begins to wish there was something more between them, but he knows that Nick is straight.
My Thoughts: I had heard a bit about this graphic novel series on Twitter, so I needed to read it. And I'm glad that I did. Although I want the next 2 volumes immediately.  I love both the boys.  I fell bad for Charlie and his past trauma. I want to give him a great big hug. I loved Charlie's friends and hope we get to see more of them in the future. I'm proud of Nick for his confrontations with his friends. I love how their friendship started - and developed. A really great friendship story that turns into something a little bit more. I can't wait to read what happens next.

Cover Thoughts: Cute
