Sure we’ve all read about Freedom and Mockingjay but we likely have a book we wish would get more attention by book bloggers, whether it’s a forgotten classic or under marketed contemporary fiction. This is your chance to tell the community why they should consider reading this book!
I read these book a few years back and I loved them. I never remember hearing much buzz about them or their series which surprised me.
Keeper of the Winds by Jenna Solitaire
Jenna's reeling from the death of her grandfather when she learns she's inherited the Board of Air. It's a magical board based down between mothers and daughters. Jenna's own mother died years ago. Now, in college, she must take a break to learn the powers of the board and seek the missing pieces. However, there are other who want the board for themselves. Jenna's not sure who she can trust and who wants to manipulate her. Can she solve the mystery of the board?
This book is the first of a series - an excellent paranormal read that fans of Cate Tiernan will love.
Shamer's Daughter by Lene Kaaberbol
Dina shares her mother's gift - the ability to look anyone in the eye and learn their secrets. Dina hates having this power. She hates being different. When her mother's called to determine the fate of a potential murderer, she gives an honest answer -but not the answer desired. Now she, accused of being false, awaits her own death. Can Dina change her mother's fate and maybe learn to accept her gift while using her powers in a different manner?
I loved this book and it's the first of four in a series. It was so different than anything I'd ever read.

I haven't heard of either of these and I thought myself pretty knowledgeable on YA.
Thanks for dropping by! I haven't read Keeper of the Winds but the premise sounds promising.
I do enjoy the occasional paranormal YA book, so I'll definitely have to keep these in mind!
I loved the Jenna Solitaire (Keeper series) books that I read a couple of years ago...did they ever finish the series? I don't remember reading all the way to an ending!
