This week's topic is Books that make me Crave Food when I'm reading them. Here are the books that I've read this year that make me crave something yummy.

I always crave cupcakes when reading this series

I wanted a chocolate filled croissant and hot chocolate while wandering the streets of Paris

Pie - all the pie

Anything in the bakery

I wanted to start a club just like this one - after of course I baked a bunch of cookies

Cocktails on the porch overlooking the ocean

A Sundae with hot fudge and marshmallow sauce

Anything picked from the farm 

Clearly I read a lot of books about bakeries and food!

Frankie and her family run a B and B, she's responsible one day a week for baking cookies. I craved cookies while reading this one!

Early this summer, I read two amazing books that put me in the mood for ice cream!

In Stay Sweet, Amelia runs an ice cream stand for the summer - until a wrench is thrown into her plans. 

In See You on a Starry Night, Juliet moves to a beach town where she befriends a girl whose family owns an ice cream shop. They enjoy mixing flavors.

I'm from Vermont, so I'm a Ben and Jerry's girl, but I don't mind trying new ice cream places!

Lara Jean spends a lot of time trying to bake the perfect chocolate chip cookie. And it's no wonder that after reading the end of the trilogy that I'm craving chocolate chip cookies. I might have to whip up a batch, although they might not be as good as Lara Jean's....

After reading Fudge and Jury by Ellie Alexander, I craved chocolate something fierce. So I settled for some adult hot chocolate and a dark chocolate Godiva truffle. YUM!

I adored Two Summers (check out my review). In Summer's vacation to France, she would walk to the bakery every morning for a bite. I adore chocolate croissants. As I was reading this book, I longed to go to the bakery and grab one too. And then walk through a charming country side.

Fun books series and great cheese. This book series made me more cheese adventurous. I went looking for a different type of cheese. I'm a big fan of cheddar cheeses and Asiago cheeses. 

In the books, Charlotte owns a cheese shop where she talks about various cheese and what to eat in combination.

This cheese was delicious! Simply perfect.

     Stephanie and Lulu eat when they're having a bad day - which happens a lot. I read this book in the morning and my mouth was watering with all the foods devoured. Reading about donuts always makes me crave them.

Book: Libby's Sweet Surprise by Lisa Schroeder

Treat: Fruit Slices (picture found on pinterest)

Libby works at her aunt and uncle's sweet shop with old fashioned candy. 

I love candy - I'm addicted. 

I'm crazy about fruit slices and this book made me crave them in a big way.

Here's my review of the Charmed Life series - it's super cute and perfect for tweens.

Book: My Secret Guide to Paris by Lisa Schroeder

Treat: Chocolate croissant - perfectly flaky and delicious 

Review of the book coming soon - but for now, it was a great story about family relationships and an amazing scavenger hunt all over Paris. It made me want to pack my bags for Paris Immediately!

Debut novel Denton Little's Deathdate is funny, smart, and will keep you thinking about the book long after you close it. This debut novel hits it out if the park.

As you will read, Reese's peanut butter cups are featured in the book at Denton's funeral. It's kind of funny and then not so funny.

Trust me - When it comes out, go read this book. Review coming soon.
