Review: The Vibrant Years

Three generations of women:

Bindu inherits money - but she doesn't want it. It's a reminder of the past, which she would like to keep buried. She puts the money to good use, buying a condo in a retirement community. But not everyone there is friendly.

Bindu's daughter-in-law Aly has been promised her own TV segment -eventually. She's tired of waiting, but she's certain this scoop with earn her position. But the network wants to give it to someone else.

Aly's daughter Cullie has a brilliant mind for coding. She created an app that made her a super star in the tech world. But years later the app is losing money and Cullie needs to come up with a way to save it. One way is to create another app - if only she had an idea.

These three women will laugh together, cry together, and share their secrets.

My Thoughts: This is a powerful read of three women who trust each other, who fight for what they want, and refuse to let others put them in a box. They support each other through all the ups and downs. I loved the fierce love between them and how they help each other. I love how Bindu and Aly try dating for Cullie's app project - the dates are terrible, but hilarious. This is an inspiring read - I love how the women refused to be intimated or dismissed. I love how they refused to put themselves in a box or dull their shine. I loved the characters.  The story did leave a few questions unanswered. As the first book in Mindy's Book Studio line, I can't wait to see what's next!

Cover Thoughts: I like it! It's bright and vibrant.
