5 Things: Room to Dream

I'm such a fan of this series. I fell a little bit behind, but I'm catching up! There's so much to love about Mia and her saga, but these 5 things are my favorite!

If you haven't read this series, I highly recommend it.

Bookstagram: The Good Luck Cafe

This is the fourth book in the Somerset Lake saga. These books are super cute, set in a small town with great friendship. Each book is a different friend finding love.

There are cute dogs, family drama, running for mayor, and a gossip blogger in this one.

Don't miss out on this charming book - which would make a great Hallmark channel movie series.

Bookstagram (10) The Emma Project

The Emma Project was an enjoyable read -a great re-telling of Emma in the modern day, and then end of a four-book series.

Here's a post I made about it:

Bookstagram (6) In a New York Minute

This book had such a funny (but terrible if it happened to you) meet cute!

And of course, someone took pictures. Which obviously went viral. And now Franny and Hayes keep meeting - sometimes the moments are awkward and sometimes sweet.

Did fate have a hand in their meeting?

Bookstagram (3): The Family You Make

I'm such a fan of Jill Shalvis!

I'm always happy when she has a new book out. And this one was super good.

Although right after I read the gondola scene, I ended up going on a gondola ride. It was much scarier after having read the opening scene of the book. But luckily, there wasn't a snowstorm happening.

What I loved about this book:
Found Family
The Cat
The Friendship
The Romance
The Neighbor
The Nosy Family
The Door
Family Drama
Rock Climbing

I love the fact that this is the start of a new series because I can't wait to visit again!

Middle Grade Review: Renegade Reporters

Ash and her friends used to lead the school news team. But that was last year - before they made a video of their teacher that went viral. Now, Ash is forced to watch her nemesis report the news. She doesn't think he's doing a very good job of it.

Ash and her friends decide to start their own news channel - outside of school. Convincing their parents is hard enough but coming up with news stories proves to be a little harder. Luckily, a story comes to them. And it jump starts their channel.

Then they stumble onto a big lead, and it changes everything. Lots of research and planning goes into their next report, but the company they're going to blow the whistle on isn't making it easy. It's the same company that provides the software for the school and sponsors the news program. Ash and her friends are determined to report the truth about the company - even after the company targets them.
My Thoughts: I really loved this book for several reasons. First the reporting and desire to share news. I loved how Ash, Maya, and Brielle didn't shy away from the truth - even after things got hard. I loved their research and reading their reports. I enjoyed Ash's interactions with Harry - especially how things worked out. Ash's family was great and added in some humor. I enjoyed the conversation about privacy and think it's an important message to share. I would love to read more about these characters in a sequel...

Cover Thoughts: Awesome

Review: On a Night Like This

Fran's life isn't anything she thought it would be. Right now, she's looking for work as an assistant. But she's not interested in traveling. But when an opportunity of a lifetime comes along, she takes it. It's a one week job with great pay. When she tries to talk about it with her finance, he comes home late and leaves early the next morning.
She leaves for London without saying goodbye. Fran doesn't realize how much this one week will change her life. Although she assumed the position would be in London, she will actually be staying on a yacht, headed to the more exclusive celebrity party.

Just when she thinks, she has a handle on everything - her world changes. Fran's not sure what to do now, but a new friend suggests she attend the party. Embolden by her terrible recent luck, Fran sneaks into the party. And she meets Evan.

Everything has led her to this one moment - this one magical night. But what happens next?
My Thoughts: I really enjoyed this book. I liked the first half where Fran worked for a celebrity - that was really interesting and a little eye opening. I admired her determination and her hard work ethics. I felt terrible for her but impressed she went to the ball. The ball was entertaining, and I like her time with Evan, her time speaking her mind, and exploring the ball. That would be a fun ball to write - from the tarot cards to the security to the fireworks. I like how everything ended up. But I didn't want to the book to end. Maybe there's a companion novel for Juliette???

Cover Thoughts: Charming
