My first thought is Agatha Christie, but as she's been gone for almost 50 years that's a tad hard to do. LOL! Living author, I'd probably have to go with Rick Riordan.

Great list! I'd love to meet Silvia Moreno-Garcia, she's the author of Mexican Gothic.
I'm not familiar with most of these authors, but I do have a Rhys Bowen on my list this week! I'm hoping to read it soon.
