Teen Summer Reading Program (4): We Are Stronger Together

Here is the final week of the summer reading program posts.

I talked about craft ideas for the week 1 and week 2. I talked about food programs for week 3.

And this week I'm talking about book ideas.

It's harder to buy books for this theme for teens. There are a lot more books for kids around kindness, community, and friendship...

There are a lot of older YA titles about friendship but I'm looking for new titles to add to the collection.

I've decided to do something a little different this year for my teen summer reading program.

Mary and I are going to do food programs once a week - it's going to be The Summer of Oreos. It was partly inspired by the marbled Oreos and an Oreo cookbook. We will also be doing a craft program every Friday with Galaxy Soap, Alien/Space perler beads, All things Marvel, All things Star Wars, and making Lava Lamps.

But this week, I'm going to talk about some space books. This is by no means a compilation of books, just a jumping off point if you're looking for some new items to add to your collection.

Teen Summer Reading Program: Libraries Rock Books

Gathering up some musical fiction for lists for the summer. This is not everything, but it's a start. There are a couple covers I can see in my mind, but can't remember the titles. If you know of more, add them in the comments please!
