Picture Book Review: Giraffe Problems

38398193

Giraffe feels self-conscious about his long neck.  He tries to hide it in hope of becoming normal. But his neck isn't easily hidden. But a new friends helps him understand the powers of having a long neck.

A sweet book about how everyone's different and unique - and how that's a good thing. I love the power of friendship and how it makes you reevaluate your own ideas. The illustrations are fun too.

Library Recommendation: Perfect for school and public libraries.

Picture Book Review: Mitford at the Hollywood Zoo

Mitford works for Cover magazine - but the giraffe is needed in LA pronto to fix a major fashion meltdown. But Mitford arrives, the giraffe runs around helping everyone. But will the fashion world embrace Mitford's ideas? If they do, Mitford will gain a promotion to fashion editor.
My Thoughts: A really fun picture book that's sure to please both kids and adults. It's perfect for this time of year (awards season) to read this one. Adults will find humor in the names and in the Hollywood story. Kids will enjoy the splashy bright art work and will route for Mitford to succeed. Entertaining. Funny. Bright Ideas. What's not to enjoy?

Cover Thoughts: Charming
