Picture Book Wednesday: Dino Door

There's a to do list, but a little one isn't that excited about chores.  (Who can blame them really?). Will they get everything done or will play interrupt?

I'm always a fan of Josh Funk's books and this one is super cute. While this book doesn't have a lot of words, it does rhyme. The illustrations are bright and cheerful. The story is funny and charming. This is a great book to read again and again.

Board Books: Dinosaurs

It's DINO-vember month!

Here are some cute board books to celebrate!

A touch and feel book that asks and answers questions about dinosaurs.

A treasury of bedtime rhymes - you might not read each page every night. A few pages would be fun for storytime.

Combines dinosaurs and construction machines - perfect for fans of either. Lots of noises to recreate and there are people to find on every page spread.

A Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Rhyme - this is a great book for older kids and fun for a movement book during storytime.

A cozy sweet bedtime story with touch and feel sections.

Picture Book Review: Smile,Sophia

Everyone wants Sophia to smile - but she's not interested in making other people happy. She has nothing to smile about...until she does.

I love the messages in this book. First and foremost about smiling when you want to - not because other people think you should smile. Secondly about knowing your passion and following it. Thirdly, about science and discovery. Lastly, about being yourself. A fantastic book with an amazing dedication.

Library Recommendation: A must have book for your school and public libraries.

Picture Book Review: Nerdy Baby Dinosaur

The Nerdy Babies explore dinosaurs.

This book has a great introduction and contains LOTS of knowledge - we learn about shapes, sizes, colors, and the evolution of dinosaurs. The illustrations are super cute.

Library Recommendations: This book is great for kids interested in dinosaurs and is a must have book for school and public libraries.

* There's also a board book, but this review is for the picture book.

Picture Book Review: Dinosaur Expert

36625273

Kimmy loves dinosaurs. She knows Everything about them. So she's so happy for the class field trip to the Natural History Museum. But when one of the boys questions whether girls can be paleontologists, she becomes very quiet.

I Loved this STEM picture book - the message was great. I loved the information about dinosaurs, the teacher, and how Kimmy gained confidence.  I really liked the illustrations too.

I just saw that this book is part of a series about a classroom and I'm eager to read more of these books.

Library Recommendation: Perfect for your public or school library
