Picture Book Review: Goodnight, Bruce

Bruce is trying to put the geese and the mice to bed - but they just want MORE.

Poor Bruce! He's so grumpy but sweet at the same time.  I love these books and this one is such a funny story.

Board Book: Hoot Hoot

A little boy is ready for bed but can't sleep. He keeps hearing all these sounds. What could it be?

I love the big eyes continue throughout the book with different animals. And the ending is funny. This will be a fun book to read out loud. And I'm sure it will be read over and over again.

Picture Book Wednesday: You are Not Sleepy

After the story is over, the pig is not sleepy. But how will the pig get to sleep?

I'm a fan of Mark Teague. This is in a similar vein of If You Give a Mouse....
With not many words, this is a great book for storytime.

Highly recommended for your school and public library

Picture Book Wednesday: Sloth Wasn't Sleepy

Sloth isn't sleepy - she's anxious and worried. Luckily her mother has some tricks up her sleeves to let go of her worries. It's not easy, but Sloth lets go one by one until she falls asleep.

A wonderful book for talking about being anxious, learning how to fall asleep when you're worried, and knowing that your mother is there to take care of you. Lots of great messages are in this beautifully illustrated book.

Library Recommendation: A must have picture book for your school or public library.
