Mini Review: Sea Spell

 * Final book in the Waterfire Saga*
The six mermaids need more time before the final battle with Orfeo. With everything against them, they're going to have oi make a stand and hope that everything falls into place. Their world and their lives depend upon it.
The Good:
The struggles
The triumphs
The twists and turns of the plot
The friendships
The betrayals
The action and danger

The Bad:
It's over BUT dare I say there might be a spin off series? One can only hope

Final Thoughts:
An excellent ending to a super fun series about good vs evil, mermaids, friendship, family, and love. Perfect for both public and school libraries.

Picture Book Review: Emerson Barks

Emerson likes to bark at things - squirrels, the mailman, and other animals. But the neighbor next door doesn't like his barking. In fact, she's fed up. Eva tries to stop him from barking, especially after the cat goes missing. Emerson tries really hard, but it's almost impossible to stop barking, especially since he has something Very Important to share.
My Thoughts: I adored this book. I loved Emerson, how he tried to be good and not annoy people. But holding in the barks made him uncomfortable. He had to be true to himself. I liked the ending of the story with Kissy the cat. The illustrations were charming. All around great read.

Cover Thoughts: Cute!

Library Recommendation: Highly recommended for both schools and public libraries.

Top Ten Tuesday: Fall TBR List

This week's topic is one of my favorite - Biggest books in your TBR pile. And the season is fall. Fall for me is September thru November, but in the publishing world, they include December. So I will too. And there's no way I can limit myself to just 10. Also as usual, I'll separate them out by ages. And of course I'll be stalking everyone's lists, because one can never have too many books they want to read, right?
