Top Ten Tuesdays: Historical Fiction

This week's topic is Top Ten Books you would give to a new reader of...historical fiction.

I really love a good historical fiction novel. For those who love the TV show Reign, here are books I would recommend.

  4. I've got Grave Mercy in my TBR pile. Haven't read it yet...

    Many of my historical fiction picks are verse novels, but I've read a few really good prose novels set in other times and places. Sarah Miller's The Lost Crown is really good.

  7. I love historical fiction! It's so much fun. I especially love it when there's romance in it. I've only read The Countess Below Stairs form your list. I want to read the others, though.

  8. As an adult reader, I love historical fiction--and I know this is in a very different vein--but strong women in Elizabeth Wein's two books --Code Name Verity and Rose Under Fire.
