Top Ten Books I didn't realize how much I would Love. There are books I know I"m going to love - either from the reviews or the early buzz or because I've read and loved the author's previous books. Here's a few that took me by surprise and I'm so happy that they did,
- meme from The Broke and the Bookish
Dying to Meet You: I read this for a book club and LOVED it! I've read all the books so far in the series and each is funny and clever!
Secrets of My Hollywood Life: I read this as an ARC - not really getting the cover at first. It kind of turned me off, but once I got into the story, I was hooked! I've read everything Jen Calonita writes.
Vampire Academy: I wasn't crazy about the cover - but the story pulled me right in.
Ender's Game: My husband made me read this one,
Game of Thrones: My husband made me read this one too, and GRRM has become one of my favorite authors.
The Daughters: I loved these girls and rooted for them
Dear Mr. Potter: I was surprised by how much I loved this book and how many emotions it brought out.
Origin: I wasn't sure I was going to like this book, but I really felt for Pia.
Girl in the Steel Corset: I wasn't sure Steampunk is for me, but I loved this one!
Brightly Woven: I fell in love with this book - such a great story.
I really want to read the Girl with the Steel Corset, but I don't know if i'm going to like Steampunk.

Some of those books are ones I also didn't know I would love. And they were ones someone else made me read. For instance, Ender's Game and Vampire Academy.
ReplyDeleteGreat List. Here's My TTT
Completely agree about Vampire Academy! Also, I just started Game of Thrones, and it's a lot better than I thought it would be.
ReplyDeleteFabulous top ten!
I am not certain about steampunk but it is good for us to try other genres. Great list! Happy Reading.

Isn't there an Ender's Game movie in the works? I'll probably have to eventually read it before I see the movie! Maybe I'll enjoy it like you did :)
