Top 10 Tuesday

Top Ten Series I Haven't Finished (because either you didn't like them, you just have procrastinated) - Meme from the lovely Broke and Bookish

This is a great topic for me, because I have a hard time letting go of characters. Sometimes it's just that too much time has past and I forget everything that came before. I'd have to re-read the whole series and that's a serious time commitment. Or sometiems, it's because I have too many books out at the moment it comes in and I want to let library patrons have a chance to read it first, but then I forget to go back and grab it and so much time passes. I really do WANT to read these books!

Secret Life of the Immortal Nicolas Flamel - loved this series, but couldn't bring myself to read the last two. I think I'll have to re-read them all and soon!
Percy Jackson - read the first 3 books and LOVED them. Took too long to read the 4th (Still haven't) and forgot everything.
Maximum Ride - I got to the fourth book and really didn't like it - too much environmental preaching. Then I stopped reading it, but I hear it gets better
Song of Ice and Fire - I'm about halfway through Dance with Dragons. This one isn't entirely my fault. I'm reading it with my husband and it's hard to find time to fit it in.
Georgia Nicholson series - Again, stopped at the last two books
Pendragon series - same, last two books
Vampire Kisses: The first vampire books that I read and loved.
Golden Lily: I still need to read this book.

I'm sure there's more, but I just can't think of any at the moment.

  1. I couldn't get into the Georgia Nicholson books either, I think it was because I watched the film and loved it first... :(

  2. I have the fourth Maximum Ride book on my list, too-- it really was a serious pitfall in the series to use the whole environmental theme, etc. I just felt like there was nothing really important for Max and the flock to do anymore, so now they're going to stop global warming... right.

Really love the A Song of Ice and Fire books, though-- I just finished them a few months ago. Hope you enjoy the rest of Dragons. :)

  3. Wow, those longer series must be harder to keep up on. I haven't started many of them, though I'd sure like to (Georgia Nicholson, Pendragon, etc).

  5. I like the look of the Nicolas Flamel books. I read all the Percy Jackson book during a five week spell at the end of last year. Really enjoyed them all. My top ten post:

  6. Ahhh I've found a fellow Vampire Kisses lover! I have this series on my list too, and I was addicted back in the day. And I really need to read the A Song of Ice and Fire books!

  7. Oh, I hope you get around to finishing Percy Jackson. It is really a fun series. I haven't finished any other Riordan series, but I have read all five Percy Jackson books.

There is just not enough time in the day to read all the books I want to. Frustrating :)

    Here's my TTT
