No Name Calling Week

Sticks and Stones DO hurt, but so do words.

No Name-Calling Week is an annual week of education activities aimed at ending name-calling of all kinds and providing schools with the tools and inspiration to launch an on-going dialogue about ways to eliminate bullying in their communities.

Here's a list of books dealing with bullies (it's from the Eastern CT Librarian Blog that I help run) While you're there, check out some of our other book lists. As always it's a work in progress.

  1. We've included this button on our blog too!

I've never been physically bullied, but I have been teased A LOT and it really does hurt :( Even as a grown woman now, some of the things said to me during my teen years stayed with me and affected my confidence & self-esteem.

We must learn to respect and accept each other just as we are.

Thanks for sharing the list. I think I'll share it with our followers too :)
