Out of Order

I have a massive problem reading books (or watching TV series) out of order. I'm not sure why this is as I know that plenty of series contain stand alone books/shows. But I know that I'll miss the little life details that come into the story and they will spoil the beginnings of the tale.

Is this a normal hangup or just a personal preference?

  1. Yeah, I'm the same. Even with TV series. For example, I missed the season premiere of "Heroes" last week. So I won't be watching it until I can catch the whole thing in reruns (or on DVD). I hate coming in halfway through and trying to figure out what's going on! The same goes for books.

  2. I cannot, will not even think of watching something out of order

  3. I can't do it either. If I fall behind on a TV show, I just won't watch it (that's why I haven't seen the last half of season two of Pushing Daisies!) Even if there's a book later in a series I want to read, I have to go back and read number one.
